Students are encouraged to attend Commencement rehearsals. Rehearsal for the ceremony will be held on Friday, May 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Turner Arena. All graduating students are encouraged to attend rehearsal. Rehearsal for students enrolled in courses at Cedar Bluff, Physicians Regional Medical Center or Blount County will be Wednesday, May 4, at 6:00 p.m. in room 184 at the Cedar Bluff campus.
GRADUATION PROCESSION INSTRUCTIONS
May 7, 2016 – 11:00 a.m. - TEX TURNER ARENA
Participation in the Commencement ceremony is a requirement for undergraduate degrees.
Everyone will meet in his/her assigned meeting place no later than 9:00 a.m. AND be in line no later than 10:15 a.m.
Seniors and graduate students will meet at the Arena to put on their caps and gowns. Graduate and Undergraduate students will dress in the Weight Room and EdS, EdD, and JD students will dress in the Hall of Fame Room. These rooms are on the ground floor and will be designated.
NOTE: LMU IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSING OR STOLEN VALUABLES LEFT UNATTENDED.
Platform party will dress in the B. Frank Turner Room on the ground floor.
Faculty and trustees will dress in the Athletic Training Room, ground floor.
Seniors and graduate students will line up according to the LMU Graduation Seating Order.
Find your location as quickly as possible and remain there so the student marshals can verify that all students are present.
Student Marshals have been appointed to assure an orderly and meaningful commencement. Please carefully follow their instructions.

COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY (Arena, 11:00 a.m.)
Enter the Arena in the following order:
Macebearer followed by platform party. Marshals will lead the seniors and graduate students, beginning with the front row, out of the Arena floor area. Faculty, trustees, adjunct faculty, and staff follow seniors and graduate students when recessing.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early enough to find parking at Tex Turner Arena. Should the need arise, the LMU Campus Shuttle will be running a regular route from the Museum Parking lot, to the Duke Hall Parking lot, past the DAR parking lot, and to the front doors of the arena.
